Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have my cell phone?

Yes, residents are allowed to have cell phones. However, phone use is restricted during house meetings and certain designated quiet hours.

What about medications like Suboxone or Methadone (MAT)?

We support Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) when prescribed and monitored by a licensed physician. All medications must be disclosed during intake and stored securely with our house manager.

What happens if someone relapses?

Relapse is handled case-by-case. Generally, a resident must leave the house immediately to seek treatment. Re-entry may be possible after completing detox/treatment and demonstrating renewed commitment to recovery.

How long can I stay?

There is no maximum stay limit. Most residents stay 3-12 months, but you can remain as long as you're benefiting from the structure and following house rules.

What should I bring with me?

Bring personal clothing, toiletries, prescribed medications, bedding (optional), and any personal recovery materials (books, journals). We provide furniture and basic household items.

Do you provide transportation?

We assist with transportation coordination to recovery meetings and important appointments when possible, but residents are encouraged to arrange their own transportation or use public transit.

Can I have visitors?

Yes, with prior approval from the house manager. Visitors are allowed during designated hours and must be registered at check-in. Overnight guests are not permitted.

Is employment required?

Yes, residents must be actively seeking employment and secure a job within 2 weeks of move-in, or maintain current employment. Exemptions may be granted for students or those with documented disabilities.

Do you accept people with criminal records?

We evaluate each application individually. However, we cannot accept individuals with violent offenses or sex offenses on their record.

What recovery meetings do I need to attend?

Residents must attend a minimum of 5 recovery meetings per week. We support AA, NA, SMART Recovery, and other evidence-based programs. Weekly attendance verification is required.
